Words on the Goddess

Of course, I'm a priest of Isis. Devoted 100% to the nature of the divine.

I use divination from the Spirits as the basis of my practice and they've taught me everything from how to eat, to how to dress!

Isis is the Great Creator, The Mother of All things, what the Hindus call Mahadevi.

She is the Water, She is Life and she interconnects all of us.

She has no true form, and like Aditi, is uncountable, immeasurable.

Look at the Moon! Look at the Rivers! They're always moving, changing. This is the natural process of the Universe.

I've been taught a lot of things by the Spirits. For example; there are no Male gods...not a one! The Spirits have also taught me there are no "Earth Deities" (so that means no Earth Goddesses either)

People want to know what my practice is like, I say, look @ Shinto. The Great Goddess Amaterasu. Shinto is the only major world religion that acknowledges a Goddess as the Supreme Divinity...but that's not all. Look at humans...all fetus's are female initially. It takes a genetic mutation to create a male (that's science...) Kinda says something about the nature of the Universe huh? :)

They even taught me that I should put all this in this blog to get the word out!

The Spirits have taught that america, for example, is being watched over by the ancestors of Babylon. And yes, I can disagree with them. And no, the Spirits aren't interested in wrath or blighting crops or anything like that.

Of course, I want people to know these things. I'd like people to understand that there can be spiritual practice that doesn't have to involve killing others for disagreeing.

If you're reading this, perhaps you've already understood.

Queer Dharma

This morning, on the site for my organization "OutRites!" I got asked if I was a member of the constabulary forces. I reminded the person that, to enforce the statute, you have to be specific as to the branch of law enforcement, and explained that I was just a guy trying to get a message out.

Oh well, again...paranoia strikes in america. Must be all that Orange alert crap...keeps people scared...don'cha'know...:) :{

In other news, I have a slight cold which I plan to wash away with a coupla gallons of orange juice and fasting. (It wurx!)

They finally discovered the village that surrounds Stonehenge...funny that...any pagan worth their salt knows it's been there the whole time...but I'm not complaining...:)

It's cold here, and I wonder if it's simply the variety of caucasian blood in me that doesn't bear it so well...for example, if my blood was entirely Swedish...perhaps winter wouldn't bother me so much? But noooooo....part of my family line just had to come from Southern Europe...where the climmate is warm and growing olives and spices is part of daily life...

But, I digress. The title of todays blog is queer dharma, and, as such, I should address the topic with expedience. There's a little known fact that gets under my skin when people start discussing religion. The fact is that what are now deemed "homosexuals" were , without question, the accepted religious leaders of most tribes, peoples and cultures before the advent of monotheism. This information has been all but obliterated by the Abrahmic traditions. To the point that even broaching the topic seems preposterous in most circles. This is the fact of Queer Dharma. That queers are more in touch with spiritual matters, inherently and that, because of Western culture and monotheism, the LGBT community seems to have forgotten it's own birthright. Even on gay t.v., they divide the gay experience into Elton and Ellen...not to say these individuals haven't done important work with Gay Rights, but it's the modern image of the LGBT community that I see as part of the difficulty. We're divided even, amoungst ourselves...fighting about legislations on issues which trully, aren't anyone's buisness but our own. (ie...Gay Marriage...etc...) Nobody has the right to tell you who you can marry, why, or how...it's REALLY nobodies buisness but the people getting married!
I believe it's a mistake to fight for legislation which will "give people the right to vote" when the "right to vote" itself is meaningless, because what we're saying is "my neighbor has the right to vote on my personal life"
That's utterly ridiculous!

Anyway...I could continue, but I think I'll go that orange juice.

(Which reminds me...a moment of reflection for the Cali farmers who are going through some serious shit right now)

Peace,
Thet

a word on H.P. Lovecraft

While perusing a friendz bookshelf I happened upon an old compilation of H.P. Lovecraft's short stories. Let me say that this was a true genius, a veritable Michelangelo of the Horror Genre.

However, it is readily apparent that his talent was misdirected to (inadvertently?) supporting christian doctrine.

What does "Call of Cthulu" have to do with christianity, you ask? well...I'll tell you!

The main bullet points of H.P.'s stories were as follows, "creepy things from the dark come and eat you, turn you into a creepy thing or drag you into the bowels of the earth."

What this does is, essentially set up the philosophy that, "unknown = evil". Much like the fabled St. Patrick who "drove the serpents out of Ire-Land", but in reality obliterated ancient Kelt/Gael Paganism in that region. The point here, of course, is that H.P., with all the talent he could muster was screaming "you're either with us...or with the creepy things in the night...and they hate freedom!!!!"

I'm just wondering how long it will take before people in the world will realize that killing in the "name of god" hasn't really advanced the human race that much in the last 4000 years.

And that's on both sides of this conflict, kidz!!!

Please read this quote from the BBC News site,

Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq …" And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it.'"

Soooooo, if I'm supposed to just do what I'm told by "world leaders" then there must be more than 1 god right? OHHHH...no wait...I'm only supposed to believe what the "leader" of "my country" believes! I get it! But wait....the "god" "my leader" believes in is homophobic, genocidal and jealous. This god hates gays, pagans, political dissent, certain kinds of people, races, animals and even the Earth itself (I couldn't make this up if I tried, I have the scripture quote for each of these claims) so I don't think I can believe in this "god" because this god hates....me.

So I don't think I can support a "leader" who worships this "god" or a "society" that supports a "leader" that believes in this "god", because this "god" is not interested in Peace or equality, and by association, neither would a "leader" or a society that supported that "leader"

To recap, H.P. Lovecraft was an unbelievably talented artist, who unfortunately (and perhaps unconsciously) supported a doctrine of "hating the unknown" Perhaps "our" president could use some passages from Lovecraft's books to explain why it's o.k. to kill womyn and children.

everything you alwayz wanted to know but...

I'm blogging here because some people are already aware of my other blogs.

Woke up early again this morning. Made some strong coffee, went to read a book,
but the light bulb was burned out. I'm hungry, but not eating...u can call it a habit.
I listen to some music, I think about the abhorrent nightmares...I wonder if there's a cool job waiting somewhere.
I divined, prayed, etc... those Spirits aren't gonna talk to themselves...:)

I heard the prez speak last night...kinda makes you feel like grinding your teeth when there's a supposed "leader" who claims sovereignty, and to speak for you when not only do you know he doesn't know you, doesn't want to know you but would find your views completely distasteful. I'm like, he's no leader of mine. None of them are really.

Not till this country defends the rights of all it's citizens....and helps to grow the acceptance of races, religions and sexual proclivities in the minds of it's populous will I even have hope for it's continued existence. America needs to stop hating and stop being afraid.
America needs to practice meditation. America needs to increase alternative energy source funding. America needs to look in the damn mirror.

men may desire power...but I believe in a good portion of the cases, men just want power over their own lives, the power to defend themselves, the power of personal freedom. (and I'm all for that...as long as they're not harming anyone to get it)
I think it's too doomsaying and bigoted to view all men as warmongers or destroyers (in the case of certain religions..etc...)
But there's a case for such bias, wherein, certain other religions say one thing and do another. Cloaking cruelty and violence under a banner of peace .

Whatever, personally, I used to get angry @ people who didn't think about life in general, about the world around them. But I stopped freaking out about other's ignorance, it was too distressing...not at all contemplative or benevolent.

I'm for peace. Anti-harm.

And I don't want to see anyone on t.v. telling the world that "Americans are this or that", when I am none of those things. I don't believe in America, because America doesn't believe in me.

ut usque universitas tribuo pietas ut nox noctis

Ever noticed that the feeling that comes right before boredom is slight panic?

Do you know why? It's a self defense mechanism. Humans aren't supposed to be
bored. It's only through mod-tech that we have enough leisure space in our schedules to actually be bored.

It's cold here up north and I've got on like 5 layers and am inside a reasonably warm house.
Again...a new town...again...a job search.

Whatever, I'm contemplating doing something new like cab driving...but I have a sneaky suspicion that there would be an ocean of paperwork to do...frankly..."paper work" was invented so people wouldn't sue other people...americans are so freeking paranoid...whatever.

It's tea space.
